Hard drive replacement/upgrade guide

Hi There,
I am planing to change/upgrade hard drive in my eMac (model A1002) and I wonder if there is any good guide for it? Also what type of internal hard drive this emac will take? Do I have to format it before I will try to put OSX on it?
I will be appreciated if someone will point me out in right direction.

This link http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/emac/faq/emac-replace-or-upgrade-hard-driv e-expansion.html says it's not easy to install the internal HD. Recommends you get a firewire connected evternal HD.

Thanks for link.
After reading that guide I must admit it wont be easy. However I am forced to do it because present hard drive stopped responding in the way what it should. I just wonder if there is another way to format new drive instead of clone-->copy?

....i forgot to add silly question. Is it possible to swap hard drives with the same OSX (Tiger) from iMac G5 (logic board failure!!!) and put that into mention eMac? I know there are two different hardware enclosures we are talking about but I don't know if thats possible.

It should work, as long as it is an ATA/100 drive. With a little luck, all the software should work too without having to reinstall.
