CRT monitor that came with G4 has started to have yellowish tint sometimes.

The 17" Studio Display CRT monitor that came with a G4 "Sawtooth" has started to have a yellowish tint sometimes. This occurs intermittently. Turning off the monitor, waiting a few moments, and then turning it back on again usually causes the display to return to normal for a while.

Is the monitor beyond repair, or is there something that can be done about this?

Sincerely,

John

Look at some of these Google search links. It's probably failing.

You can get a 17" LCD flat screen monitor these days for around $100. A larger monitor costs only a bit more. You can get a small (19") 1080p LCD TV and use it for a monitor. Get the picture-in-a-picture feature & you can watch TV while using your Mac.

Then you'll have a better display, use less power, emit less heat and have more room on your computer desk.

hi Texas,

I'm thinking of going this route. How would I switch back and forth from Mac and TV? Is there a button or is it from within the computer?
