Does anyone know if there is an app or program that will allow me to control my phone from a pc or Mac ....my old phone (not apple) had it....it was real handy sitting at a desk and being able to text folks from a computer keyboard...stick a bluetooth in the ear and use computer to call folks or answer calls....

Have looked at some of the tightvpn, but it calls for a jailbreak phone, hoping for something that is sanctioned.

In a word, no - not at the present time anyway.

Well, hopefully some of the app developers could get it done for a non jailbreak phone...would be handy.

Another app I was hoping for find would allow me to build groups from my contact list for group text messaging.....you know, like if I wanted to text all my kids a message or my team members at work.
I know I can add up to 10 folks in a message, but looking for an app that might help...know of anything? Not looking for chat rooms.

There are apps that let you create groups, though I don't know the names offhand--I find this site much easier to browse and search:

If something is available on the jailbreak market, but not in the App Store, it's usually because Apple doesn't open up that functionality. So it's not that the app developers can't get it done--Apple does not allow such things to be created. Send feedback to Apple asking them to allow it:

take a look at Touch Pad in the itunes store. it looks like what you are looking for- I don't use it so I can't vouch for it.

Touchpad allows you to control you computer from your phone....I am looking for a phone emulation on my computer....available on all windows based phones......when your phone is tethered via usb you can manipulate and control it via a gui on screen...very helpful if you use your phone for business and are at a computer most of the day.

MyMobiler is the windows app...nothing like it in Apple world that I can find.
