Windows 7 Netbook iPhone Sync problem

Hi:

I have an iPhone 3g16, and have had it sync'd with my Vista box for over a year. There is about 4gb of music and video, plus some 100 apps on the phone and sync'd with the Vista box.

I just purchased a netbook, installed iTunes, went to the apple store and Authorized the netbook. I plugged in the iPhone, and did a sync. It sync'd my contacts but nothing else. So I went into iTunes, and clicked to allow music to sync and was warned that this sync would erase all my content on the iPhone. Same with apps, and everything else I want to sync to the netbook.

How can I have the existing content on my iPhone be sync'd to my netbook? The apple store claims I can play content on all authorized machines, but I can find no way to get the content onto the netbook.

I also set up "home sharing", which works, and allows me to play content from the main Vista box, but if I go out with my netbook, I obviously lose connection.

What's the fix here?

TIA
Bob

Use home sharing to copy the actual files over to the netbook, so they will be on the netbook's hard drive when you are away from home.

Actually, I wouldn't even use itunes to do it. Just use windows file sharing and copy your entire itunes folder over to the netbook. The path should be the same for both Vista and Windows 7.
