Dreamweaver crashes / freezes in OS X

I have an Apple Macbook Pro and I run Adobe CS4, which includes Adobe Dreamweaver CS4.

There are a many times the program will lock up or freeze for 30 seconds or more when you click on a drop down menu at the top such as File, Edit, View, etc.

I am running Snow Leopard OS X on my Mac. My Macbook Pro is approximately 10 months old with a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory.

I had read somewhere a while back of others that were experiencing similar issues.

I know this could be a Snow Leopard OS X issue, but all of my other software runs great.

All software is updated in Adobe and Mac.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

I just remembered something. Check the permission on the Adobe preference files in your Home
directory (~/Library/Preferences). At some point in time (after the 10.6.2 update) my user ownership
Adobe prefs. got changed to "root". I had to manually change ownership back to my User name
(account). It wasn't just Adobe prefs., some other prefs. were affected as well. I don't know if that
is the problem causing your issues, but it may something be worth checking out.
