TomTom failing to load

I have TomTom Westen Europe on my iPhone and it is now failing to load.
I get the splash screen for 20 seconds or so then it just goes back to the normal menu.
I have tried reloading my iPhone and reloading TomTom but nothing seems to work.
I have a 16GB device with 4GB free capacity.
Anybody with any ideas?

Here's my thinking, in your first post you said "I have a 16GB device with 4GB free capacity.". Was that BEFORE or AFTER you installed TomTom? If before, that could be the problem. Apps like TomTom need a minimum of twice the apps size in free space to install properly. In other words, a minimum of 3.2gb free. Notice, that's minimum. If you only had 4gb free, you're on the border for a proper installation. You could try deleting more content, deleting TomTom, freeing up more space, see if TomTom will work, then adding back the content you deleted.

Thanks for the tip but unforetunately that is 4GB with TomTom installed.
I read on another thread one idea that sounded good and that was to backup the device, perform a factory default reset but then upgrade the device and reinstall the app alone without restoring from the backup first.
It could be that my device is screwed up with the four pages of apps that I have installed.

I think what you mean is to restore your phone as "new", not from a backup & then re-add your content through itunes. That might work, however you will lose all saved data from your apps, etc if you go this route. You could try restoring from a backup first, all you'll lose is your time.
