Snow Leopard Graphics Corruption

+1. I've been noticing the artifacts since the 10.6.3 upgrade. I took this screencap on 03/25 : http://imgur.com/MU4Wo. I was afraid my video card was giving up the ghost, but I'm relieved to discover this thread! I really hope Apple fixes this in 10.6.4.

It's taking real long now!
I'm stuck with some crappy macbook now since 10.6.3.
Appe hurry up will you? At least come with a quick fix for this annoying problem.

Till now there is no problem with my graphics.

@Koetjesreep, how do you get the Beta? I'd be willing to try it out, just because these artifacts are driving me slowly crazy!

I downloaded it via hotfile.com. You can search via Google.

If it takes Moths for Apple, than this way. I have now no problems anymore!

Per the rumors, it looks like 10.6.4 will at least get announced at WWDC tomorrow morning ( http://www.macrumors.com/2010/06/05/safari-5-and-xcode-4-coming-at-wwdc/).

I might just wait, hopeful the end is in sight 🙂.

I also have the 10.6.4 beta and it does in fact address the problem. My Mac looks good again! 🙂

Buy a developer account if you, like me, could not wait any longer.

OK now on my iMac. Even switched 3D dock back on.

I had the same problem with my MacBook x3100 for ages, I took it back to John Lewis in the UK where I purchased it from. Using their 2 Year guarantee they replaced the Logic board as it was toasted.
I have never really used the mac in anger, my personal opinion is that snow leopard caused the graphics problem on my mac book. I doubt that apple will fix the issue as with us existing laptop owners not contributing new revenue to apple they will just continue to develop iPhone/iPads/iStuff and not really fix anything for people using old technology.
I am a bit disappointed with apple having previously owned Powerbooks/iBooks and G3's with no problems at all

Had exactly this happen to me several times.

I used to get this on my MacBook Pro (4, 1) with NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. Just came and went randomly. No idea why. Currently on SL 10.6.4 and haven’t seen this issue for quite a while now. Also running current version of Flash. Ever since the move to Intel, I have experienced driver and display problems with two out of three Macs that I have owned!
