Management of ALAC and AAC.

I rip music from CD to iTunes with ALAC. And I convert them to AAC.
I listen ALAC files by itunes at home. And I listen AAC files by iPhone at outdoor.
I make 2 big dynamic playlist. One playlist is for ALAC. and Another playlist is for AAC.
If I use iTunes then I can search music only ALAC files. or only AAC files.
1. Click ALAC playlist.
2. Search by right top seach box.

But, It's complicated to sync rating infomation of ALAC and AAC.
And I can't select only ALAC files or only AAC files by iPhone's "Remote app.".

Do you know somthing solution for thes things?
Do apple plan new file type like a ATRAC Advanced Lossless (*1) or somthing solution?
(*1) The file contain both of lossless music and compressed music at one file.

Apple has not announced anything new here, but if they do, I don't expect it to be ATRAC, which was proprietary to Sony and from which even Sony has backed away.

What would help would be a "compress on the fly" option to allow keeping a single lossless format on the computer, and convert to a smaller format when syncing the iPod/iPhone. Apple does this for the Shuffle, but not for other models of iPod.

You can make suggestions to Apple at the Feedback page.
