Spooky glowing green animal eyes

How do I edit animal eyes - my cat & dog pictures look pretty good except for the spooky glowing green eyes. Thanks for any advice you can give.

You'll need an external editor for this. In order of price here are some suggestions:

Seashore (free)
_[The Gimp|http://www.gimp.org/macintosh>_ also free
Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
Acorn ($50 approx)
[Pixelmator|http://www.pixelmator.com> ($60 approx.)
Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)

There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate.

You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

You can try this method: go to the iPhoto/General preference pane and use the Edit Photo menu to select the Olympus photo program.

Then when you double click on a thumbnail the photo will open in the Olympus program.

Using 2 Image Editors in iPhoto
If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and a 3rd party editor without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected the 3rd party editor as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window". Then when you Control-click on an image, you can select "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu to edit in your selected editor.

Oops. I see I can still use iPhoto for editing even though Olympus is included in the list of options.

For now I'll stick with iPhoto editing and leave the spooky eyes green until I have a chance to check out some of the other edit programs and suggestions offered. I do wish Mac had included a fix for green animal eyes in their basic photo editing though. I'm surprised they didn't.

Thank you very much Terence and Old Toad for your help and patience.
