Question

Can't insert disc into MacBook Pro's optical drive- ''Tray is open''

Can't insert disc into my MacBook Pro's optical drive.
Toast Titanium notify ''The Drive is not ready (the tray is open)''.
I Tried everything (after restarting- eject, mouse button a so on)- nothing helps.
And I hear the drive mechanism every time.

Macbook Pro 4.1, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Try using the drive without Toast. If burning use Disk Utility just to see if your disc is accepted. If so, the problem is with Toast. Try Toast forum area.
Try repairing permissions and restarting the computer. I don't see where you mentioned you tried this.
Make sure you are using the correct version of Toast that fits your os.

Is there a disc or some other foreign object already in the drive that you are unaware of? Apple Portables: Troubleshooting the slot load optical disc drive
