I cant find my Apps tab when I open up itunes and touch HELP PLEASE!

Hi, I've recently(finally) downloaded games for my iPod touch (1st Gen) and when I go to sync it, I cant, because there's no Applications Tab. Can anyone help me find it?

Thank you!

What software version is on your ipod?

You need at least 2.0, if not 3.0 in order to use apps.

Okay, we're getting nowhere fast here.

Please list the version number _on your iPod._ On the Touch, go to Setting/General/About and note which version number is listed there. Also, in your iTunes, click on *Help/About iTunes* and wait for the iTunes version number to scroll up the screen. What does it say?

Also, can you tell us what the message actually says please? What exactly is not compatible with what?

As roaminggnome says, you need at least OS 2 (and possibly version 3.0 if the particular App needs it) for any Apps to work. In addition, the latest version of iTunes is 9.0.2.25. Possibly, the error message is related to your version of iTunes.

In iTunes, click on *Help/Check for Updates* which should take you to 9.0.2.25, which you need to download. Once you've done that, check *Help/About iTunes* to make sure it is now at the correct version. Hopefully, if you then connect your iPod, you will be able to restore it.

You still require an upgrade to your iPod to run Apps. It doesn't cost much, and it will be version 3. If you decide to purchase it, it will be indstalled on the iPod when you next connect it and then the Apps will transfer to it.
