Quartz Debug -> show window list. GONE?

Hello friends,

I'm looking to see if in SL 10.6.2, keeping a cluttered desktop has the same impact as in Leopard.

What i'm talking about is here: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20051117154624368

Having installed the latest Xcode, i went in /Developer/Applications/Performance\ Tools/Quartz\ Debug.app but i can't see the show window list from the Tools menu of Quartz Debug.

Question: Is it gone? Or how can i find it to see the performance impact!?

Thanks,
Andrei D

I remember years ago hearing that most of the little gizmos you see on your monitor, from icons on your Desktop to items in the menu bar, to the Dock, was its own little invisible window that had to be drawn by windowserver (which was why accidently dropping a ton of stuff onto the Desktop would bring the Finder to its knees), and I remember using something to get a list of all windows, visible and invisible, to confirm that this was true. Unfortunately I don't remember whether I used Quartz Debug to get the window list. At any rate, I don't see any option for generating such a window list in the Snow Leopard version of Quartz Debug. There IS such an option in the Leopard version (it is at the bottom of the Tools menu), and it seems to work in Snow Leopard.
