I used Software Update to install some updated printer drivers for my Epson 7400. These are causing problems and I do not need them. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? Uninstalling and reinstalling the software did not help.
Another way to go about it is to go to the Epson support site and download their instructions to uninstall items for your particular model. I have mine saved because their instructions direct you to quite a few different locations deleting several files/folders. Then you could reinstall whatever you need.
And, just out of curiosity, do you have a G5 or an Intel - those are two entirely different machines. This is the forum for Intel iMacs.
Installing the old drivers will just cause Software Update to ask you if you want to update. What problems are you having? There are known issues and some known fixes for the Epson updates, and there are several threads here with possible solutions.
If you can not delete your printer queue, you can try to reset your print system. Here's how to do it:
1. Control-click or right-click a print queue in the ""Printers"" pane.
2. Choose ""Reset printing system..."" from the contextual menu.
3. Click ""OK"" in the ""Are you sure..."" confirmation sheet.
