Anyone have one or could recommend one? Seems to be a coming necessity in the old USSA. TIA

Pretty high voltage output needed vs. what you seem to get, e.g. 12V typical in store bought ones. You could get a solar 12V battery charger, then use a battery (deep cycle for a boat or RV e.g.) and then an auto adapter to power the PB.
Google leads to this article, a review of the Brunton Solar Roll used with the reviewer's PowerBook and digital camera. I've seen many mentions of the Solar Roll but I haven't used it myself. Seems pretty neat, and simpler than creating a Frankenstein machine of chargers, adapters, and batteries.
14W output won't do it.

Somebody better write the reviewer, then, and ask him how he managed to run a PowerBook off of it, which is what he claims to have done quite happily in the field.
thanks for the headsup on Brunton.
fanstastic products, overall.
not really fitting for most on-the-go computer usage, but to prepare for emergencies where yr home power goes out, i know i will be buying their power products soon.
