My much abused aluminum G4 has started producing symbols on the screen instead of the letters I am typing. For example:

Other than that it seems normal. It doesn't do it all the time, and tends to start doing it once the PB has warmed up. I haven't changed any settings when it happens.
Has anyone encountered this problem, or have any idea if there might be a cure?
