Dec 23, 2009 1:15 AM in response to Volker Runkelby ilGaspa,Hi Volker,
thanks for replying However I can't find the option you are speaking of in the energy saving preference pane :/ Mine is similar to this, save for the settings specific to battery that my mini hasn't

Where I can set what the power button does?
Thanks -

Dec 23, 2009 2:04 AM in response to Volker Runkelby ilGaspa,Maybe someone else knows why we haven't these options and can help us out I checked on the net and this settings should indeed be in the power saving preference pane, so there must be a reason for it not appearing on your Air and my Mini :/ -
Dec 23, 2009 2:25 AM in response to ilGaspaby musashi88,Hi
On my iMac in System Preferences>Energy Saver>Allow power button to put computer to sleep. is checked and that is what happens. Not sure what is happening to your mac Mini & Air.

Dec 23, 2009 2:29 AM in response to musashi88by ilGaspa,Hi musashi,
the problem is that on my mac mini that option simply isn't there :/ There's no trace of it in the whole energy saver preference pane o_o -

Dec 23, 2009 5:56 AM in response to musashi88by ilGaspa,I fear it too
I'll check it as soon as I get home (now I'm at work) but I think that the mac mini doesn't support that option, or that it's simply hidden in the pref pane :/
I fount it should be changeable using a command in the terminal but I don't think it's a good idea...
The command is
sudo pmset powerbutton 1
to turn the power button to sleep button
sudo pmset powerbutton 0
to make the power button show the "sleep, restart, shutdown" dialog again
