How to Set Up Panasonic Viera Plasma TV as Monitor for G4 leopard 10.5.8
I have a G4 and need a huge monitor for work and was using my Panasonic Vera flat screen TV with my old PC and got great resolution etc.
Now with my G4 I hooked it up and the res was not so good. Installed a s-video adapter and same blurry text etc. Attempted to dial in the resolution using "settings" on the monitor screens and everything went to a rolling screen like TVs on the 1960's.... you had to adjust the horizontal hold back then.
Bottom line is the only resolution setting that holds the horizontal now is 720 x 480 (interlaced) with the 60 Hertz (NTSC).
I have tried all sorts of combos and they all cause the horizontal rolling issue.
How can I get the best resolution setting without buying a new TV? If I do buy a new TV for a monitor, I've heard Samsung is the inner guts of Apple monitors for the Power Mac G4...True?
thanks all,
bobby
