How to transfer contacts from a non-sim card phone to iphone

Am I just out of luck and have to enter everything manually? Can I transfer contacts from an LG CDMA phone to iphone 3G via Bluetooth? Thanks

Contact info on your cell phone is not available in the Address Book on your Mac or in whatever you use for contact info on your Mac? If not, you manually entered all contact info on your cell phone? If so, you sound like the majority of Windoze users.

Try using the iSync application located in your Applications folder to see if you phone is supported by iSync for syncing contacts with the Address Book on your Mac via Bluetooth.

How did you get the contacts on your previous phone to begin with - all manually entered? If so, I don't blame you for not wanting to repeat that again - but it would be much faster doing so with the Address Book on your Mac - plus not having access to any of your cell phone contacts on your computer all this time.

Are you away from your Mac that you will be syncing your iPhone with? If not, have you not tried launching and trying the iSync application yet with Bluetooth access enabled on the Mac? There is a list of compatible cell phones (make and model) for the iSync version you have. Try a Google search or it may be available via iSync Help.

As Allan suggested you will need to sync your phone with your Mac and get your contacts into Apple's Address Book. Once they are in Address Book it is very simple to get them on to the iPhone. If your current phone is not supported by iSync then there may be third party plug-ins or applications that will allow you to do this like BluePhoneElite 2 which I suggested in my earlier post. If you specify the exact model of your phone someone on the Discussions here may be able to point you in the right direction to achieve this.
