Printing multiple photos on single A4 page

With my previous version of iPhoto, there was an 'N-up' printing option that allowed printing 2, 4, 6, or 9 photos on one A4 sheet, without borders. That was perfect for printing A4 sheets for a hard copy photo album. With iPhoto '09, there is no N-up function.

How can I print six (as large as possible, with no borders or text) photos on one A4 page?

Thank you for your assistance, Isshi.

it is not possible as far as I have determined to print n-up with no white space between photos with iPhoto '09

To print n-up select the photos and click print, select the printer, paper size and print size (you will have to experiment to find what you want for this)(note that is the size is not the same ratio - typically 4:3 for point and shoot digital cameras and 3:2 for DSLRs - as the photos you must either crop the photos to the correct ratio prior to printing or the computer will crop for you - often not where you would choose)

Then click customize and click on the setting button in the tool bar at the bottom - select print multiple photos per page - the preview will reflect what will print

If you are happy click print again, select any printer specific options and click print to print the page

I'm sorry, I should have been clearer, what I meant by 'no borders' was no lines between photos, just blank white space.

With the N-up feature, there was blank white space between photos, all nicely worked out automatically. I could select on the number and placement of photos, and instantly print out the arrangement.

I'll see what I can do by following your tips. Thank you (and Merry Christmas).

Best regards, Isshi.

Okay, the procedure described by LarryHN works.

The most useful information was the size ratio to use when selecting the photo size- if the photos were specified a little too small: the arrangement went to a vertical layout, if the size was slightly too big, a portion of the right-hand photos got printed onto the left edge somehow. Specifying 9.5cm x 7.12cm for the photo size produced three rows of two photos displayed horizontally, centered on the page.

I owe LarryHN my thanks, and the Apple software engineer who decided to take out the N-up feature owes me three hours of lost time.

Best regards, Peter Warner.
