Apple Hardware Test

After I ran the Apple Hardware Test the System Profiler shows that the last time I ran the AHT was on 25/12/4009. Yes, it's already the 25th here in Hong Kong, but neither the computer nor I will last till 4009... How can I make the date correct?

Hi,

A simple re-start may help here. I have had similar issues and once noted that it would take around 125 years to erase a hard drive using disk utilities. Each time, a re-start has cured the problem.

Regards.

Ian.

Either that or you have a computer from 2000 years in the future - If this proves to be the case...

Can I be your "world tour" manager?

I read about the AHT but did not know about it. After looking it up I found a Apple support paper which said that this tool should be on the 2nd HD that came with the computer ( in my case a MBP 4,1).
Following the instructions on that paper I inserted the disk and restarted the mbp and pressing/holding the D button.
But no startup from the AHT. My mbp booted as usual.
Looking in finder I could not see a folder/file on the 2nd disk which said AHT. Only Xcode tools.
Anybody can tell me where I can find this AHT?
Can it be downloaded from an Apple site?
And Merry Xmas to all.
