Battery at 134 cycles and full charge is at 2235 mAh......
So my Macbook Pro is about 19 months old and, no uni-body, is amazing but the battery is actin stupid. It doesnt hold much charge and only lasts about 1:30 min with the brightness all the way down. Is there a problem with my battery or is tis normal cause my buddys battery is at 264 cycles and holds about 4 hours of battery. What is the replacement plan for this and is there a program that can rebuild the battery?
MacBook Pro,
Mac OS X (10.6.2),
4 gig RAM Installed
Yes a few times actually and I was going to reset the SMC but i didnt think it would make a difference. It act like its been plugged up all its life and doesnt know how much power to hold. The normal is about 5580mAh and im at 2235mAh with 134 cycles.... its ******** and i need it replaced before i ship out to the airforce.
There used to be an official battery replacement program but not at this time. If you can get it to a Genius Bar and explain the circumstances, they just may....
300 cycles with your performance used to be a cutoff for consideration, it never hurts to ask, nicely of course.
Im in an area where the closets Apple Retail Store is about 100 miles from me. Is there any other way to see if they c replace it? Ive called and they of course didnt say anything but buy a new one so if anyone knows anything id greatly appreciate it!!!!!!!
And if I have to I'll ask really nice lol cause 130 is alot for a battery that should have worked!
