This forum is for 'Appleworks', Apple's office suite. You should post your question in the Leopard Forum: or you may do better to check in Gmail's help. It seems possible that you have GMail set up as IMAP, where the messages remain on the server and the Mail program accesses them (just as with webmail) in which case the messages presumably aren't actually downloading; if they are (so you see duplicates every time) you should start by taking a close look at the account settings in Mail and at Gmail.

Roger, I'd love to know if you can help me with another issue also related to Mac's Mail Application and Gmail...but my issue has a twist because it also involves receiving emails on my BlackBerry Curve!
A few weeks ago I switched over from my Dell laptop to a new MacBook Pro. The people at the Apple store transferred all of the information over from my old computer to my Mac. Now when I reply to AND send an email from the Mail application on my Mac, several copies of the message I want to send are being sent to my Blackberry BEFORE I even hit the send button on my Mac.
I never had this problem until I started using my Mac.
Verizon & BlackBerry say this problem has something to do with the way the Apple people set up my email on my Mac and they can't help me fix the problem.
The Apple customer service people say it's either a BlackBerry or a Gmail problem and that they can't help me fix this issue.

On my Dell laptop, I used Outlook to send/receive email and I used a Gmail address.
On my new Mac, I use Mac's Mail application to send/receive email and I use the same Gmail address.
    MacBook Pro 5,4
    Mac OS X (10.6.2)
    Snow Leopard
Current program used to access Gmail- MacBook Pro Mail application Version 4.2 (1077)
On my Dell computer (which I still own, but I haven't used in weeks) I used Outlook to send/receive emails.
Any chance you can help me?

    From Roger's post:

*This forum is for 'Appleworks', Apple's office suite.* You should post your question in the (Snow) Leopard Forum: or you may do better to check in Gmail's help.

Unless you're using AppleWorks as your email application (which isn't possible), this isn't the forum for your question.

You'll get better results posting it in the Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard section of discussions, and specifically in the Mail and Address Book forum in that section.

The link will take you directly to that forum.
