New Apple TV - can't connect to internet
I have an iMAC purchased in 4/09; a MacBook Pro - 5 years ago; and a Lenovo laptop with Windows XP - work assigned laptop.
I installed the Apple TV this morning, already backed up my iMAC and got my music to appear through my TV. But now I cannot connect to the internet on any of the computers...I had to disconnect from the cable modem and reconnect my Linksys router to get back on the internet to read all the discussions which are not helping me.
I have no spaces or dashes in the names of my laptop or imac or apple tv, time capsule or anything. I've been at this for over 12 hours and I'm exhausted.
What am I doing wrong? I do not have a separate router connected. The cable goes directly to the Motorola cable modem and then I have a cable connecting from the Motorola cable modem to the ATV internet WAN port. I also have a cable connected from an ATV ethernet port to my Lenox laptop. I have to tunnel into my work network using iPass.
