Apps not working and video not playing

I got my brand new 32gb iPod Touch yesterday for Christmas. I turned it on, plugged it into the computer and let it sync all of my music. Everything was running fine. I even transferred some legally downloaded digital copy movies from the itunes store and put those on my touch too. I played those a bit to test out the quality, they worked. I downloaded a few free apps from the store including things like, Facebook, Aim, Kindle reader... just basic apps. they worked fine as well. Then, I completely turned the ipod off to drive to more of my family, and when i got there, i turned it back on and my downloaded apps wouldn't work. they would open for a second and immediately close.... my downloaded video wouldn't play either.

I have looked everywhere for a solution. I've tried restarting it, installing a different free app... nothing :*(
Can anyone help? Please? I love this thing!

My daughter has had the same issue. It happened after she upgraded her iPod Touch software this morning. Her iPod Touch has worked perfectly since she received it in June, and today was the first time that she actually plugged it back into a computer since I set it up for her originally. Now, none of the videos work and none of her purchased apps work. I'm thinking of going back to default settings and starting over.

Dame for me 2! got an ipod touch for christmas. i donloaded some apps last night (free) and all worked perfectly. next day they worked also...donloaded some more, restarted ipod touch after all downloaded safely and then IT DIDN"T WORK!!! i would touch an app i bought (free), it would go to the app screen for it for like 2 seconds, then it went back to main page. not happy sence it is second day with it
