I like the magic mouse that came with my 27" iMac. Just one weird thing, when using the "scroll wheel" gesture to zoom in google maps, it zooms way too fast! Unless you make a very careful gesture you shoot from fully zoomed in to fully zoomed out so fast you can't control it.
This isn't a problem in other apps, and normal scrolling of windows seems to work at pretty much normal speed too. Has anyone found a way to fix this?

Mac OS X (10.6.2),
15" Powerbook, iPhone
I too have this problem and have tried all different settings for the mouse scroll speed etc. I believe it is because the mouse scroll has focus on the zoom bar at the left of the map and consequently this moves up and down a long way with the slightest finger touch. Very irritating but can't see how it can be avoided other than just manipulating the zoom bar with a left mouse click and drag.
Yes, I tried different mouse settings...everything is fine when you're just moving or scrolling the mouse but somehow when you are using the "scroll wheel" functionality in google maps it seems like it is scaled up more than a normal mouse, so zooming happens way to fast.
I'm having this problem too. Left and right swipes also seem to zoom in/out, even accidental swipes that wouldn't normally move the screen more than a few pixels.
My largest problem is with accidental swipes zooming me in/out to the closest/farthest map. For me, a fix would be to only allow two-finger scrolling, but unfortunately this is not an option in the control panel.
I'm another that will say, it drives me bananas!! I love the mouse otherwise, but it's just way too touchy, and when attempting to just move around on the map, it instead ends up zooming way in our out, many times when just moving the mouse across the web page to get to another button, textbox etc.
I know there's a few other examples where this happens, but I can't think iof it right off. Will report back next time I encounter it.
It does seem most sensitive with Google Maps than anything else; Via Safari, or Firefox/opera etc.
Be nice if they resolve this, so I can stop yelling obscenities when getting driving directions. 8)
