Best brand of DVD-DL media to use?

My MacBook Pro has a model MATSHITA UJ-868 burner in it. When using Toast, I keep getting errors burning DL DVDs. I believe the problem may be the generic media I am using. What brand of DVD-DL media works best or successful with a MATSHITA UJ-868 burner?

Hello there,

I have yet to burn a coaster with the Imation brand. All of the family use them and pretty much all my customers too - Not one single failure so far ( 1000's of burns )

Thanks, Ian. I will get them a try. Some of these Mac SuperDrives can be fussy with the brand of media you use.

I had trouble with DLs. I changed my burn speed down to 4X and have not had a problem since.

I have had VERY POOR luck with Imation media over the years.

I changed my burn speed down to 4X and have not had a problem since.

Over the years, it's been a truism that you can burn good discs slowly or coaster rapidly.

I always recommend lower speed burning.
