SWEAT STAINS/OIL ON MACBOOK PRO

im not sure if anyone gets the same problem, but im sure some peoples hands get sweaty all the time while using their macbook for work. but once there's a stain, what do you do to get rid of the stain that it leaves behind?

this goes out to most of the macbook pro users that have the unibody casing.

it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out before it gets worse!

Here is a better "kit" to prevent damage to the palm rests and keyboard:

1. Wash your hands before you use your computer
2. Wipe the computer down after you use it.

That might sound like a lot of work, and it's overkill for most people. However, you mentioned that your hands are covered in sweat and grease, and you need to take some steps to prevent further damage.

Wow, I have had 1 aluminum MacBook Pro, 2 aluminum PowerBooks, and 2 Titanium PowerBooks and NONE of them have developed stained handrests. However, I am a frequent hand washer so maybe that is the reason.

On the other hand (pun intended) the white 2006 MacBook we have is another story. We have to constantly wipe it down lest it develop yellow hand stains.

Get these and never worry about it;

I also opted for the key board protector. I have excessive sweaty palms in the warm months. These products keep your MacBooks and MacBook Pros protected.

I havent tried yet on my Unibody MacBook Pro, but on the White MacBook, youll be surprised how well the Mr Clean Magic Eraser does. It really is amazing. Just make sure you wring the water out of it really really well. So its just barely damp. It cleans REALLY REALLY well. Its removed yellowing from my White MacBook and it looks brand new when I clean with it.
