Firewire 800 port not working

I have a 24" iMac with FW 800 and 400 ports. The 400 port works fine. I have two external drives that I connect to the computer, both with FW 800 and 400. When I try to connect them to the 800, they do not mount. When I connect one to the 400 and daisy chain the other through their 800 ports, they both mount fine. They can both mount on other computers with FW 800 ports without a problem.

I plan to call Support on this, but thought I'd look for some answers here first before getting on the phone for a long time.

I am running Leopard, 10.5.8

Thanks,

iMac intel, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
