Safari 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 Upgrade

Hi I'm having issues upgrading to Safari 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. Software Update finds no new updates are available and when I run either installer pkg I get the same error "This volume does not meet the requirements for this update." I located a previous thread where the poster had the exact same issues as I do and followed the steps mentioned. The thread was [Safari 4.0.4 update|http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2236803].

A poster in the other thread listed the files that were checked by the 4.0.4 installer. The first and third files were present however the second file, /System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Resources/Info.plist, was not. The Resource alias did not exist so I recreated it in the correct location. The problem is the CFBundleShortVersionString in Info.plist has a value of 5530.19 instead of 5531.21. This suggests to me that I should try installing 4.0.3 but I get the same error message from that installer.

I just reran the 10.5.8 Combo update and it appears to have gone in correctly, the system currently has Safari 4.0.2 and the Software Update reports the system is up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
