Q: Powerbook 180c Display Screen Troubleshooting

Hello,
I'm trying to repair at least one, and maybe two of my old standby 180c laptops.
I do have a CD showing the physical take-apart illustrations. I'm looking for help in troubleshooting the Interconnect, Inverter, Daughterboard and/or Cousin Boards with respect to screen failures.

My last one that failed last week now only has a "white" screen, which I'm assuming is the backlight only showing? Prior to that it did have 2-3 lines across the screen for months. The machine is working, as it was in Sharing mode, so I can and have accessed the HD for data. Does anyone have a "screen" symptoms disgnostics listing that I might review?

I'm trying not to put machines together 4-5 times on a trial an error basis If I can avoid doing so. I use these 180c's of necessity. I have 4 and some spare parts also. Any and all help really appreciated. (I'm in Moose Country, Maine on Dial up - so good, short access guides very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Lowell
