Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. When you sync to another, it will first erase the music from the iphone, then replace with music from the new computer.
You need to move the content from the old computer to the new one before you sync.
You can use your backup copy for this.powerbook g4, iMac 20, Mac OS X (10.6.1), airport express, iphone, ipod, ipod touch

Currently Being ModeratedDec 31, 2009 5:31 AM (in response to supersono99)Okay so I'm sort of related to this topic. My desktop dies before xmas and just got a new hp. I install itunes, set up my account back on it, and authorize my new computer. So I hook up my old hard drive and dump the old files into the new folder and everything seems fine but last night I open itunes to update my ipod touch and iphone and there's doubles of all the songs and movies and the is a exclamation point to some of them. So what do i do now? How do I delete the ones giving me trouble. Or is there a way to delete everything and start over? Thanks for the help in advance and happy new year all.an hp, ipod, ipod touch, and iphone

I moved my I tunes to my new laptop by copying the itunes folder from the old computer to a flash drive. When I look at my library it shows 1092 songs @ 5.90 Gigs of space. Now I am looking to copy my itunes to a new laptop that will replace the desktop that I originally copied from. I go into my music file on Windows 7 & can see the itunes folder.......BUT the properties tab indicates that the entire file, including subfolders is only 2.18 GB???????? Am I missing something here?????Windows 7

Currently Being ModeratedJan 10, 2010 7:29 AM (in response to Katrina S.)Well, I followed the instructions on that long article and I am now thoroughly confused. First it tells me to organize the library one way by upgrade to iTunes media organization, then when I go down to where it tells me to move the library it tells me to organize:consolidate. I don't know what to do. I am going from windows xp to windows 7, can someone direct me to a step by step youtube video or an article that is more clear on exactly what to do? I don't understand computers well, so I don't want all of the explanation, just how to step by step without fluff.pc, Windows 7
