pop up "Problem downloading, if you want to burn cds must reinstall"

I got an I-Tunes message stating that if I want to burn cd's or import a cd I need to uninstall and reinstall.

What's the precise test of your message, jeanie? (There's a couple of different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)

I think I have the same problem. I get a message saying "The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes". Reinstalling doesn't make a difference, and for me, ever since I tried to upgrade and this problem occurred, when I plug in my ipod my computer doesn't read it!
