Can't get a network aggregate/bond to work properly

*I am trying to accomplish network teaming in the Windows world*

I have my Mac Pro wired with two Ethernet cables to my Time Capsule. In Network preferences I show Ethernet 1 and Ethernet 2 connected. I go and create a new aggregate called "Bond1" and select both interfaces. The two existing connections are disabled, but the Bond1 never acquires an IP address. I am going directly to my Time Capsule with both cables.

I want to have both interfaces going inbound and outbound. What am I missing? I assume the Time Capsule supports aggregating, teaming, trunking, etc. Whatever the term of the week is.

Hope I'm not all confused on what's doable and not doable.

If I can't team the interfaces, I guess the only other valid option would be to setup one for Time Capsule backups and the other for Internet access, but something tells me that won't work either.

Thanks and hope everyone had a good Christmas!
