New User/How to draw freehand?

Hello, just got a new iMac and am new to iWork and would like to know how to create drawing documents like Appleworks could without templates, just using a blank page and the toolbar or something similar.

G4 iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

When we get a new application, it's a good idea to look at the available resources.

Every user may download *Pages User Guide* from the Help menu.

The chapter 7 will be your friend, mainly the section entitled *Adding a Custom Shape*.

Even if Pages does have some drawing possibility it isn't a draw application. In Pages you can use the Bezigon tool which you find at the bottom of the Shape menu.

My advise is to find an application that fills your drawing needs. Some say EazyDraw is such an app. ZeusDraw is another.

There are quite a few graphical applications you can download from Internet. Some are free, some are not!

Whilst the Pages Draw tool at the bottom of the Shapes menu on the Toolbar provides some drawing ability, that is not saying much. It is probably one of the worst drawing tools I have ever encountered.

You will be far better off using a 3rd party application:
