setting up logitech squeezebox duet + airport express
Hi folks,
I'm trying to set up a Logitech Squeezebox Duet with my iMac and Airport Express. The relevant versions of things are
Mac OS X 10.4.11
Airport Express firmware: 7.3.1
The problem:
The Duet remote control finds my network and connects without problem. The Squeezebox receiver - the part that connects to the stereo - appears to find my wireless network, but fails to connect, because (I think), it cannot get a DHCP address. I spent some time with Logitech tech support, and after about an hour or so of fruitless setting changes, they did what all seasoned tech supporters do - passed it off to the other guy! (They said to contact Apple tech support...)
Logitech suggested that possibly my AE was blocking access on one of the 3 ports that the squeezebox uses: 3483 (TCP), 9000 (UDP), and 9090 (TCP).
So, here goes. Anyone have experience with this combination and / or words of advice?
Thanks lots and Happy New Year!
