How do I DELETE unwanted songs off my iPod ?

How do I DELETE the unwanted songs & accoustic sounds that uploaded into my iPod when I tried to sync it from my macbook to my desktop? It erased everything that I had uploaded from my macbook and started downloading EVERYTHING I had on my desktop. It even started uploading the accoustic files. I don't need the grandkids' kiddie music I had saved on my desktop on my iPod. Help!

Mac G5, Mac OS X (10.3.x), MacBook

IF the "desktop" your reffering to is a PC, *YOU SHOULD NOT SWITCH BETWEEN "PC" & "MAC"* because, Apple's frame work is different than Windows (wich is WAY less sucure, with out the expencive "ANTI-" stuff.)Now there's two ways to do it: _(*+on a PC+*)_ selecting the song you want and pressing the "delete" key, for every song, that you dont want. OR a fast way, RESETING your iPod, by clicking "restore" button, *THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING, INCLUDING TIME AND SETTINGS!!!!!!* So use it ONLY if you want EVERTHING off your iPod.
