Create mp3 cd with random order

I'm trying to create a mp3 cd, but it keeps burning the disk in alphabetical order of the artists' names. I create the playlist, turn on shuffle, then burn the disk but to no avail. Any way to do this?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Try this...
Right click the playlist name and select *Copy to play order*, then burn the CD.

I think I posted before I analyzed my disk. When the cd finished burning and it showed it in itunes, it was ordered by artist name. But when I looked at the files in the finder, I can see that it correctly put it in a random order...by adding track numbers before the songs to the random order.
