Sony Record Player PS-LX300USB

I bought the Sony record player with USB and found that I had to download Audacity in order for it to be compatible with my Mac. But when i connect the USB from the record player to my iMac, it does not seem to recognize it. Does anyone know how to use Audacity? Do I need to download any plugins?
Thanks

This kind of question is usually best asked on the third party device's own product support site (i.e., Sony). However, I downloaded the user manual and it only mentions how to get it to connect to a computer running Windows (which isn't too unusual, unfortunately). Maybe there's some way to get it to work for a Mac but it is also possible there aren't any Mac drivers for it.

Hello Schilly, and a warm welcome to the forums! 🙂

If you haven't yet..

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then reboot when it finishes.
