Creating an age range chart

I can't seem to manage this. I want a bar graph that fills in the bar only from one value to another. Not one that fills in the bar from 0 to the value. For example: I want a bar that only colors in from the ages 3.6 to 5 and another that colors in the age 2.5 to 8. I'd really like to create 2 columns, one with the minimum age and the other with the maximum age and have numbers draw a bar from one to the other for each column. Is this possible? HELP!!!
