Hi(Bonjour)!

I think that there was a flash film effect in early version of iMovie.

I dont know for the current version of iMovie, but in earlier version you find sound effect in this folder:

Select iMovie icon in app folder, use the contextual menu (Control-click) and invoke the open package command. Go to Contents-->Ressources-->Sound effects--> +all sound effect are here+.

Did you search in garageband podcast sound bank?

Soundtrack 2 included with FCE 3.5 and earlier included a camera flash sound.
