When do i use PLUS and MINUS DVD's ?

Can I use a DVD-RAM in my late 2009 edition iMac (3.06GHz) ?

iMac 3.06 GHz, QS933 G4, Performa 6360,8500,LC520, Mac OS X (10.6.2), QS G4 the best of all previously owned MDD (dual) and QS's

Plus or Minus can be used interchangeably. DVD-RAM is not supported.

OK thanks for the info and confirmation.

To bad Apple does not install those types of drives that do support DVD-RAM.

I'm lucky here because i do have an external FireWired LG burner that does do DVD-RAM.

FYI: If you're going to burn DVD's for video, more DVD players accept DVD-R than DVD+R

for movies ... always -r dvd's

and maybe look for the best: from "tayo yuden"
