Character Count in Pages

Character Count in Pages

I found the Word Count. Now I need some way to find a Character Count (including spaces).

Does anyone know how to do this? Is there an Automator or Apple Script function that can be added as a Service?

Thanks for any feedback.

You can find what you need in the Document Inspector > Info. In the Range drop down choose either Document or Selection.

Thank you. I am in the process of deleting M$ Orifice from my systems. This helps.

Interesting that information is not in the Pages Help system... 😟

Get the Pages User Guide by clicking on the name in theHelp menu (Pages'). The info is on page 31 english version.

Correction - The information is listed on page 40 of the Pages 09 User guide. A person searching for the character count needs to search on "statistics" not 'count'. I suppose I should read the entire manual ...

I assumes that like me, fruhulda looked in the English version delivered in january 2009
and that you looked in the User Guide revised in september 2009.

I reached this page with a search based on 'count' as you mayt see on this screenshot.
