A good password app for my 3GS

Are you SURE you want pass words on a iPhone?

It's not free by any means, but I've been using SplashID for several months and have been happy with it.

SplashID has been around for a long time on other platforms (BB, WinMob, Palm, PC, Mac) and is also available for the iPhone. It syncs among all platforms.

I have been using eWallet by ilium software for 10 years. I love it. I pay for it and for occasional updates. They build a solid product and their customer support is excellent. I would not have bought my iPhone if eWallet was not avaialable for it.

I have used this app on PocketPC, Windows Mobile, and now the iPhone. It syncs with the desktop version (windows only, mac is in alpha) and has never let me down.

I have a couple of apps for this, but the best by far is Roboform. I have Roboform on my PC too. You can sync the Roboform on the iPhone so that it uses the same password details has the PC so that they are always up to date.

I has been using Keeper for over a year... If someone get your iphone and try get into Keeper - it self-destruct which prevent a person from accessing your private data. It sync with Itune - you can backup it to local drive on your computer... etc.

I use Firebox. One of the few paid apps that I purchased. The data is encrypted and there's desktop app to view your data and to backup to in case you ever need to restore your phone from scratch.

Try "1Password" for Mac and "SBSH SafeWallet for iPhone" for PC/desktop sync.

I use mSecure and it works very well. Allows secure, ecrypted backup of your passwords and data over Wi-Fi to your Mac as well.
Avoid Lockbox as it has a problem restoring your data if you lose it or change your iPhone

I don't use anything. It is totally free, and the if lost or stolen the thief is non the wiser. Not to mention "No Worries". This is the best security you can have.

It is not too diffcult to remember few passwords.

Your passport number and National Health number?
e-mail servers, logins and passwords?
Insurance policy numbers?
Telephone and internet banking passwords?
Driving licence?
WEP key for your wi-fi?
Software serial numbers?

Wasn't my intention to show you I am clever (you shoudln't take things personal). It was a sensible legitimate advice.

None of my colleagues and associates and anyone I know use an app for password. We use secure USB key for everything (like this if your data is worth it https://www.ironkey.com/). There are cheaper keys.

For personal, it is not worth taking the risk at all. There are things you can do with and without (i.e keep them on your person) as you listed.
