Uncrop/Unfit in iMovie '09

I had a project DONE (and I mean labor intensive, for a newbie at least) and when I was viewing my project on YouTube I noticed one clip had been cropped. So I went back to iMovie to correct and there doesn't seem to be a way to Uncrop my clip! I chose Fit because that seemed to make the problem better, but now I've lost the sides of my video (which are important in my film). How the heck do I unfit a clip in a project without starting from scratch?????

Go to that clip in your project and select FIT instead of CROP in the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool.

Here's the thing, Fit isn't the same as the original aspect ratio of my footage. When I do Fit I get the two black bars down the left & right sides, which cuts off my film. How do I get back the original aspect ratio in a clip of a project?

You can change the aspect ratio in File/Project Properties. If your aspect ratio of the project is the same as that of your source footage, then Fit and Crop all look the same, and they all fill the frame.

I still don't know why changing the Project Aspect Ratio didn't change my footage back. I actually just gave up and redid the project, wasn't as hard the second time.
