1st Gen iPod Touch and Stereo Bluetooth

My brother has a 1st generation iPod Touch. If he upgrades to OS 3.1 will he be able to use it with Stereo bluetooth headsets? Couldn't find this directly addressed in any Apple lit.
If Yes, any recommendations on good / resonable cost models. A late Christmas present.

Apple states it here:

From Motorola's web page for that Bluetooth adapter:

"Motorola's D650 Bluetooth Adaptor for iPod is developed to work with the iPod Mini, iPod Nano and selected models of the iPod Classic. It is NOT compatible with selected ranges like the iPod Touch, iPod Shuffle and iPhone. "

Perhaps the reason it doesn't work with Pandora is that it's not completely compatible with your Touch. Motorola has quite good discussion forums. You might want to see if anyone there has been able to get that particular set up to work with Pandora and if so, how.

The OP asked about using BT headsets with a 1st gen. You're giving what may be confusing info. And, I do apologize for trying to give you some direction in getting your problem solved. It won't happen again.

yes I have the D650 with the S9's and it WORKS great for the ipod player/videos/games, just not with Pandora.
