Cannot print Legal size on IR1023iF

I can print one sided and duplex letter size on our networked Imagerunner 1023iF but I cannot print nor duplex legal size. The printer says error and asks me to load legal paper.
I am the only user with SL and installed UFRIIv2.00 to use SL.
Other users on the network running 10.5.8 have no problem printing legal nor duplex. They do have many more page sizes to chose from than I have. They have to chose something called "foolscap" and they can print one sided and duplex. They use an earlier driver v 1.8
I am quite frustrated.
I had been running an earlier version of this driver successfully for letter size, downloaded the above from the Canon USA site.
Please note, that for the installer to run you have to quit ALL running applications.

Any help would be appreciated

We don't use Legal size here in Oz so I cannot check this, but since there appears to be two Legal settings, I would suggest you try the paper size shown as Legal (Print Area-Large).

The other thing to note is that if the application you are using sets the paper size separately to the driver setting, then you should try changing the Page Setup > Format For setting in the application to the iR1023 rather than Any Printer. I have found that Any Printer uses a size that is not listed within the the Canon driver and this stops the finishing selection from working.

One last point is that Canon released a v2.05 driver that officially supports Snow Leopard. The v2.00 UFR2 driver was unstable on 10.6 and may be contributing to your issue.

Thank you Pahu
I have tried both the normal and the large Legal size with no better result.
My problems are with Mail and Preview. They don't have a Page Setup option, this seems to be an Apple SL thing.
I just discovered a 2.2 driver on the apple website. I'll try that tomorrow (GMT -5 here). It is a massive download (275 MB). Here is the link: http://support.apple.com/downloads/CanonPrinter_Drivers_for_Mac_OS_X_v106

Seems to cover multiple drivers.
I'll post back what happens.

The Canon driver update is only for consumer products (ie inkjet-based models). It doesn't cover the imageRUNNER series drivers, such as the UFR2, so I wouldn't waste your time, unless you also had a Canon PIXMA printer.

I'll do some testing with A3 paper which I can modify to a Legal size.
