Opening a pages document in Word

Hi there. I am mainly using Pages to edit documents that have been generated in Word by other computers. I have no problem opening and editing these files but when I am finished, is there a way of saving them so that I can email them back to the other computers (work colleagues using Word on PCs) so they can open them? The one document I have tried this with won't open on their computer.
Thanks.

Pages saves in its own format and you cannot change that. However, you can export as a .doc file so Word can read it. Note: depending on how/what formatting has been done the document you export into .doc may or may not look the same in Word as it did in Pages.
