I am having trouble syncing my Recently Added playlist to my brand new 32GB iPod Touch. The songs sync, but are in a seemingly random order - not sorted by song name or artist or anything else that i can see. I've tried selecting the playlist (the regular one in iTunes) and selecting 'Copy to Play Order' and re-syncing, but that doesn't work. Worse still, when I select the playlist from the drop-down menu under the iPod in the sidebar, the playlist is sorted correctly. I'm out of ideas. Thanks in advance for the help!

I found a solution in some other threads that worked for me. You have to select the playlist on your iPod in iTunes, right click it and edit. Then add a rule that "Playlist," "Is" "Music" in the three fields. Re-synch ipod. Worked for me. This is for Smart Playlists. I can't overstate how stupid this is of Apple. This only started happening a few months ago (I think the last update). Ridiculous!
