Cable to play 5th generation ipod nano w/video in car
I bought a new 5th gen. nano 16gb and it wont play on my car aux cable. It plays the other ipod I purchased earlier this year (nano 8gb) Is there a different cable to use or should I just take new nano back to the store. It works with earphones and I can play it on my dock. When I plug it into the car it just plays on the internal speaker. I asked tech support and they acted like I was crazy and said to buy a new cable that was compatible. Help!
I'm having the same problem with my nano 5th generation 16gb! I just bought it a couple days ago, and had just bought a new AUX cord for my old ipod, which worked just fine with it (class ipod, probably a 2nd generation).
I'm having the same problem. Annoyingly, the ipod will play through the stereo when the engine is turned off. As soon as the engine turns on, the sound quits coming through the car speakers and starts coming through the ipod speaker!
I am also suffering. Bought a new cable and the new 16gig 5th gen nano doesn't work with either my old one or the new one and both work fine on mine and my daughter's other Ipods. It just plays on the internal speaker and not over the car stereo. The headphones work fine though. Any help would be very welcome.
I am also having this problem with my new Ipod 5th Generation player. Went on a long trip with it not knowing that it would not play using my previous cable for my older player.
