Changing your computer with itunes without losing your music

I set up my original Itunes account on my computer at work - I now have a new computer and dont know how to transfer my account to my new computer without losing all my tunes. Can anyone help?

First, back up the iTunes library on the old computer. Perhaps you should back up the Documents folder, and thus preserve all of your valuable data in addition to your iTunes library. Then restore it on your new computer. Or use a migration utility; presumably your IT department has done this before and has a standard way of doing it.

After it is restored reinstall iTunes, launch it, and make sure your music is all there in iTunes. Authorize this new iTunes with the same user id and password as the old one. Then when you sync your iPhone it will delete music that is currently on the phone, then put it back from the library on the new computer.
